Last week Grandad Russel had a little spill and broke his hip. All is well now and after a long weekend and some surgery ... he is back home, recovering and what appears to be - straight up chillin.
Dad has been sending the family updates via email -- and this morning it was requested that pictures be sent for those family members who struggle with reading (Drew afterall did graduate from NC State) and so we received this photo first:
After which Alston replied:
He looks really pleased to be photographed. Like those civil war shots where nobody is smiling.
So Dad then sent another email with the title:
"Does this smile work for you?"
Why yes ... YES it does work for us.
V-Neck, Cardigan, Peace sign ... Grandad is straight chillen.
AND THEN THIS HAPPENED:
AWESOME.
