Yesterday I went for a run and after 30 minutes ... and 3 miles ... my legs felt pretty good and my lungs weren't wanting to burst ... and my brain was still focused enough to keep running. So I did.
I even hit the treadmill up to the incline to simulate the Cooper River Bridge at the 2mi mark ...
the results?
5.7 miles in 60 minutes.
I walked the last little bit and finished the 10k in about 1:05
... which is about where I finished the race last time.
Which means I still have some work cut out if I need to shave 5 minutes off my time. Not to shabby for my first run longer than 3 miles in... well ... lets just say in a while.
